With most ₹70,000-class Android phones now sitting at 6.7-6.8 inches and 220+ grams, the OPPO Reno15 Pro mini 5G is one of just two mainstream compact options left in this price band — the other being the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered OnePlus 13s at roughly ₹58,000. OPPO launched the Reno15 Pro mini in India on 13 January 2026 with a 12 GB / 256 GB variant at ₹64,999 MRP and a 12 GB / 512 GB variant at ₹69,999 MRP, in Cocoa Brown and Glacier White. As of June 2026 the 512 GB Cocoa Brown unit (Amazon ASIN B0G8YCBWV9) is selling at a 7% deal price of ₹64,999 on Amazon.in, fulfilled by Amazon and sold by Clicktech Retail.

Under the smaller chassis, OPPO has not made the obvious mistake of stripping the camera. The Reno15 Pro mini ships with the same 200MP Samsung HP5 main sensor with OIS and the same 50MP Samsung JN5 3.5x periscope telephoto with OIS that sit on the bigger 6.7-inch Reno15 Pro — which is genuinely unusual at this size. The compromise is in raw silicon: the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 powering the Reno15 Pro mini is the same chip OPPO used in last year's Reno14 Pro, not the latest Dimensity 9500-class flagship part. In the hand, the Reno15 Pro mini's 6.32-inch / 16.05 cm footprint is the headline. OPPO claims a 93.35% screen-to-body ratio with bezels measured at 1.6 mm on the narrowest side, and the body weighs about 187 grams — roughly 30 grams lighter than the iPhone 17 Pro Max and 20 grams lighter than the OnePlus 15. The Cocoa Brown finish on our review unit uses a textured matte rear glass that resists fingerprints noticeably better than the Glacier White variant's glossier panel, with a centred circular camera island that sits flatter than OPPO's recent Reno14 Pro design. Front protection is Corning Gorilla Glass; OPPO has not specified the exact generation on the Indian retail page.

The 6.32-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel itself is sharp at 1216 × 2640 pixels, ships with a 120Hz refresh rate and is bright enough to be readable in direct Indian sunlight per multiple verified Amazon.in buyer reviews. The right edge houses the power and volume buttons, the bottom edge has the USB Type-C port, the SIM tray and the speaker grille. Two omissions to be aware of on the Indian retail unit: there is no NFC chip (verified by an Indian Amazon buyer who flagged it explicitly: "Ekdam bindass phone... but NFC is missing"), and OPPO India has not advertised a specific IP rating for the Indian 6.32-inch variant on the Amazon listing or the OPPO.com/in product page, even though the larger Reno15 Pro 5G carries an IP69 rating in the same launch wave. The retail box ships with the phone, an 80W SUPERVOOC charger, a Type-C to Type-C cable, the SIM ejector pin, a soft TPU case and the documentation booklet — consistent with OPPO India's standard Reno-series packaging policy. You actually hit advertised charge speeds out of the box.

Performance is the most divisive thing about this phone. The MediaTek Dimensity 8450 inside the Reno15 Pro mini (octa-core, peak 3.25 GHz, paired with 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1/4.0 storage depending on tier) is, as 91mobiles's Sanket Vijayasarathy bluntly notes, "the same chip found inside last year's Reno14 Pro." That puts the Reno15 Pro mini below the Dimensity 9300 Plus in the Vivo X200 FE and well below the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the OnePlus 13s — both of which sell for less. In day-to-day use this almost never bites. App launches feel snappy on ColorOS 16, scrolling is smooth at 120Hz and multitasking with 12 GB of RAM is comfortable for the kind of buyer who chooses a 6.32-inch phone.

Where the chip shows its age is sustained gaming and continuous video recording. Verified Indian Amazon buyers on the 12 GB / 512 GB variant report that the device "handles heavy gaming effortlessly without overheating" for short sessions, but also that "battery gets heat-up during continuous video recording more than 5 or 10 min" — exactly the workload where a thinner compact body has less surface area to dissipate heat. If your idea of the right ₹70k phone is BGMI at sustained 90 FPS for two hours, the OnePlus 15 with its 7,300 mAh cell and Cryo-Velocity cooling is a flatly better tool. If your idea is sharp HDR photos, snappy reels and a chat-and-camera primary device that doesn't make your jeans pocket bulge, the Reno15 Pro mini holds together comfortably.

The camera system is the genuine party trick at this size. The 200MP HP5 main sensor with OIS, the 50MP JN5 3.5x periscope with OIS and the 50MP ultrawide produce daylight shots that read as actual flagship images — sharp at base and at the 3.5x optical hop, with respectable colour science by ColorOS 16's Reno-tuned ISP. Night mode produces noticeably cleaner stills than the older Reno14 Pro thanks to OPPO's updated AI HDR pipeline, and the front 50MP JN5 ultrawide selfie camera is the best one we've used on a phone this small. The cap is video: while 4K 30/60 fps recording is supported, this phone is not a 4K 120fps Dolby Vision camera the way the OnePlus 15 is, and the periscope's reach (3.5x optical, up to 120x digital) trades off against the iPhone 17 Pro Max's longer optical zoom range.

Battery and charging are the quiet wins. The 6,200 mAh silicon-carbon cell is unusually large for a 187 g, 6.32-inch body — bigger than the iPhone 17 Pro Max's reported cell and within striking distance of the OnePlus 15's 7,300 mAh on a much smaller body. Verified Indian buyers consistently report a "full day of heavy use only 10%" of charge consumed, and 80W SUPERVOOC fills the cell quickly when you do plug in. Wireless charging is supported (rate not specified by OPPO India). Software is Android 15 out of the box for the early retail units with a free OTA path to ColorOS 16 on Android 16; OPPO India has not publicly disclosed an exact number of years of OS and security updates for the Reno15 Pro mini at the time of this review, and 91mobiles's expert review notes only a "long software update promise" without specifics. ColorOS 16 itself is much improved from prior generations, but as the same expert review notes, "Cluttered software out of the box" is still a real con — expect to spend 15-20 minutes after first boot uninstalling preinstalled apps.
