The Hyaluron Pure range is L'Oréal Paris's answer to the hyaluronic-acid trend from skincare, ported into hair-care. Hyaluronic acid is a humectant — it binds water to the hair fibre and holds it there for extended periods. The unscented (labelled "Pure") variant strips out fragrance entirely, making this one of a very small handful of true fragrance-free conditioners available at the ₹185 price point in India.

Our four-week test on wavy, medium-density hair in Bengaluru (moderate humidity, hard water) showed the 72-hour hydration claim holds up on hair that is not heat-styled between washes. Hair felt hydrated and pliable through day 3 after a wash — no straw-like dry patches at the ends. The formula is deliberately lightweight, so if you are switching from Dove Intense Repair or a rich Matrix formula, you will notice hair feels noticeably "cleaner" and less coated — that is by design.

The 175 ml pearl-white bottle with a clear pinkish cap looks clinical-adjacent, closer to a skincare product than a traditional hair conditioner — which is on-brand for the hyaluron positioning. Flip-cap dispensing is reliable and drip-free. Formula is a thin, almost lotion-like white cream — significantly less viscous than a Dove or Matrix conditioner.

Fragrance is the standout: this is genuinely, verifiably scent-free. Not "low-fragrance" or "mild-fragrance" — actually unscented on our sniff test. That makes this one of the very few mainstream Indian hair conditioners suitable for chemically-sensitive users, pregnancy-related scent aversions, or anyone who wants their perfume/deodorant to not clash with a strong hair scent.

A five-rupee-coin size portion covers mid-lengths to ends comfortably. The lightweight formula means you can use it slightly more generously without weighing hair down.

Hydration is the headline capability. Hyaluronic acid binds significantly more water than most humectants, and hair genuinely feels hydrated 48-72 hours after use if you do not blow-dry or heat-style aggressively between washes. In dry Delhi winter conditions, this was the single conditioner in our test rotation that kept ends from feeling straw-like.

Weightlessness: this is the lightest-feeling conditioner in the L'Oréal India lineup. Fine and low-density hair users report retaining volume at the roots even when this is applied to mid-lengths — a rare quality among damage-repair conditioners.

Detangling is adequate but not exceptional. A wide-tooth comb passes through wet hair in 2-3 strokes, versus 1 stroke with heavier silicone-rich formulas. If detangling is your primary concern, TRESemmé Hydra Matrix leave-in or L'Oréal Total Repair 5 will serve you better.

Frizz control is moderate — 6-8 hours in Indian humidity. This is a hydration formula, not a smoothing one; humectants can even attract moisture from humid air into hair, which for some hair types slightly increases (rather than decreases) frizz.
